It's great when friends have fun doing your hobby with you! So glad it was a good trip. I'm the dreaded hobby evangelist, but my friends are used to it by now. We have a lot of fun, though!
I definitely went for the fully cooked sausage for this recipe! I figured that accidentally undercooking the meat and giving my friend food poisoning would be a good way for her to hate camping!
I gotta go camping with you when you make meals like that. My go to when I did field work was peanut butter on bread until I was somewhere close to full.
You're always welcome to split a baked brie around the campfire with me! I just got home from a volunteer trailbuilding event and still have a three day old peanut butter sandwich in my pack that I studiously avoided at lunch for multiple days in a row...though somehow all the Tootsie Rolls managed to get eaten!
If there is a badge for camping ambassador, I think you have earned it many times over.
I might have to make myself a sticker claiming that title!

Using fully cooked meat like polish sausage is a good idea for a foil dinner.

Yay. I’ve never been to the Midwest, but if I do go, I know where to find some baked Brie and a camping trip.
