It was fun to hear them all! However, I didn't see any of the birds that the preserve is known for--yellow-breasted chat, Bell's vireo, cerulean warbler and Henslow's sparrow--so I might have to make a return trip during/after spring migration!

I've never thought of them as being in formation, but now I will think of that the next time I see a log covered like this!
